Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Swift Drop collects when you book, send or receive a delivery, why we need it, and the rights you have under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).

Last updated: 27 September 2026

1. Who we are

Swift Drop operates the express delivery service at swiftdrop.ae across the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates. For this policy, Swift Drop is the controller of the personal data described below.

Questions about privacy can be sent to info@swiftdrop.express or by WhatsApp to +971 52 789 0094.

2. Data we collect

Booking details: sender and recipient names, phone numbers, email address, collection and delivery addresses, item type, notes and preferred timing.

Payment details: payment status and the last digits of your card. Card numbers are processed by our payment provider (Stripe) and are never stored on our servers.

Delivery records: driver assignment, timestamps, status updates during the job, photo proof of delivery and recipient signature.

Communications: messages sent through the website chat, WhatsApp, phone or email, and business pricing requests.

Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and cookies used for language preference and analytics.

3. How we use your data

To price, dispatch, track and complete your delivery, and to send you and the recipient status updates.

To take payment, issue tax invoices and meet our VAT and accounting obligations.

To answer questions, resolve claims and improve the service.

To prevent fraud and keep drivers and customers safe.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

5. Who we share it with

The driver assigned to your job sees only what is needed to collect and deliver: names, phone numbers, addresses and handling notes.

Service providers who help us run Swift Drop, including payment processing (Stripe), hosting, messaging and analytics (Google Analytics). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.

Government authorities when the law requires it.

6. Transfers outside the UAE

Some providers store data outside the UAE. When that happens we rely on the transfer conditions set out in the PDPL, such as adequate protection in the destination country or contractual safeguards.

7. How long we keep it

Booking, invoice and payment records are kept for at least five years to meet UAE tax requirements. Chat messages and delivery photos are kept for up to 12 months unless needed for an open claim. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form.

8. Your rights

Under the PDPL you can ask to access your personal data, correct it, have it deleted where we no longer need it, restrict or object to certain processing, and receive a copy in a portable format.

Send your request to info@swiftdrop.express. We reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the UAE Data Office.

9. Cookies

Your language is selected by the page URL and does not require a language cookie. Where enabled, Google Analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser; the booking flow still works.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to staff who need it, and payments are handled by a PCI DSS certified provider.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
