Why Swift Drop
Abu dhabi delivery

Most quotes for a courier service Abu Dhabi customers ask about arrive after a phone call, a WhatsApp thread and a wait. Swift Drop publishes a fixed table instead. Every figure below is the total you pay, VAT included, for collection and delivery inside Abu Dhabi emirate.
| Item | Standard (next business day) | Same-day (booked before 14:00, delivered by 21:00) | Express (60–120 minutes after collection) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Document | AED 53 | AED 68 | AED 89 |
| Small parcel | AED 79 | AED 100 | AED 126 |
| Large parcel | AED 116 | AED 152 | AED 189 |
| Fragile item | AED 131 | AED 168 | AED 205 |
Medical transport sits outside the parcel table at AED 120–200 depending on the job. It is covered by our UAE trade licence, and the figure is confirmed before a driver is dispatched.
The full rate card, including the other emirates, is on the pricing page.
For any courier service Abu Dhabi booking, the same-day cut-off is 14:00. Book before then and the parcel is collected and delivered by 21:00 the same day. Book at 14:30 and the honest answer is that it moves to the next business day, or you switch to express, which runs on a 60–120 minute window after collection rather than a fixed evening deadline.
This matters more here than in Dubai, where the cut-off is later. If your day regularly ends with "I need this there tonight", the practical habit is to book in the morning and confirm the recipient is around before 14:00, not after.
Express is not a faster version of same-day booking. It is a different product: one driver, one job, no consolidated route. That is why it costs more, and why it is the right choice for a passport, a signed contract, a sample that has to reach a lab while it is still valid, or anything where "sometime this evening" is not good enough.
Documents are the most common booking: contracts, passports and ID documents, legal paperwork, tender submissions, cheques and bank forms. They travel signed for, and collection can be from an office reception, a home or a government service centre.
Parcels cover everyday business and personal items — samples, spare parts, retail orders, a forgotten charger, a laptop bag. Fragile items are packed and handled as fragile, which is why they carry their own row above.
Medical transport covers samples and pharmacy runs under our trade licence. It has handling requirements a standard parcel does not, so it is quoted as a range and confirmed with you first.
What we will not do is pretend a parcel is something it is not. If an item needs special handling, say so at booking. Mis-declared contents are the usual reason a delivery is refused at the door.
Packaging is the part most bookings get wrong. A courier service Abu Dhabi customers use for documents needs almost no preparation. An envelope, the correct recipient name and a phone number are enough. Parcels are different, and most delays we see start with packaging rather than traffic.
Pack what you would be comfortable handing to a stranger on a motorbike in August. Boxes should close without bulging, tape should run across the seam rather than along it, and anything loose inside should be filled so it cannot move. Fragile items need internal padding, not just a fragile label: a label tells the driver to be careful, it does not stop a glass item hitting a metal wall.
If the item is valuable, keep proof of what was inside. A photograph of the packed box before collection settles almost every later question about condition, and it takes ten seconds.
Coverage inside the emirate runs from Abu Dhabi Island and the Corniche through Al Reem and Al Maryah, Khalifa City, Mussafah, Yas and Saadiyat, Al Raha Beach and Mohammed Bin Zayed City, out to Al Ain and Al Dhafra including Ruwais.
Two practical notes. Mussafah and the industrial zones take longer to move through than the island, so for an express booking into a factory gate it is worth confirming the recipient's security desk before the driver arrives. Al Ain and Ruwais are inside the emirate but a long way from the island: the rate is the emirate rate, the clock behaves differently, so book earlier in the day.
The emirate overview and zone list are on the Abu Dhabi coverage page.
Booking takes a few minutes on the booking page. Choose the collection and delivery points, the item type and the speed, then confirm the recipient's name and mobile number. You get an order number immediately and can follow the job on the tracking page.
On collection the driver checks the item against the booking, accepts or seals the packaging, and takes the recipient's details. Documents are handed over against a signature. If nobody is there at the destination, the driver calls the number on the booking rather than leaving the item somewhere unsecured.
Payment is settled at collection. Cash on collection always works. Card and Apple Pay appear at checkout only when they are enabled for that booking, and the page tells you what is available before you confirm, so there is no surprise at the door. No card payment is promised in advance.
If you ship regularly, a contracted business account with any courier service Abu Dhabi firms use brings the per-delivery price down to from AED 15. That is not a walk-in rate and it is not automatic. It applies to a contracted business account with an approved monthly volume, on standard or consolidated delivery, within approved parcel sizes and zones, and VAT and conditions apply. The conditions sit beside the price on the business page and the pricing page so nobody has to guess.
For a law firm sending documents, a clinic moving samples or a shop handling daily orders, the useful part is not only the rate. It is monthly invoicing and one account instead of a card payment per job. For a courier service Abu Dhabi operations teams can predict, a single monthly invoice also removes the reconciliation work that eats an afternoon every week.
Whichever courier service Abu Dhabi job you book, only the speed stays in your control once the item is packed. For the fastest product in detail, see express delivery and the Abu Dhabi express page. If you are sending between emirates rather than inside Abu Dhabi, start at the inter-emirate route hub, which lists every route and its from-price.
Two further reads if you are planning ahead: the document courier guide covers documents and paperwork thoroughly, and the same-day cost guide explains how same-day pricing is built, which works the same way here.
Documents are AED 53 standard, AED 68 same-day and AED 89 express. Small parcels are AED 79, 100 and 126; large parcels AED 116, 152 and 189; fragile items AED 131, 168 and 205. All totals include VAT.
14:00. Book before then and delivery is by 21:00 the same day. Later bookings move to the next business day unless you choose express.
Yes. Collection and delivery are door to door across the emirate, including residential buildings, offices, clinics and government service centres. The driver calls the recipient on arrival.
Yes. Both are inside Abu Dhabi emirate and covered at the emirate rate. Book earlier in the day, because the drive from the island is long and the same-day cut-off still applies.
Cash on collection always works. Card and Apple Pay are offered at booking only when they are enabled for that booking, so check what the checkout shows before you confirm.
Yes, as medical transport at AED 120–200, covered by our UAE trade licence. Tell us what is being moved when you book so the handling requirements are agreed first.
